Micah started out in college pursuing a BFA in acting — she never expected to fall in love with social media along the way. While in her program, she took over managing the social media pages for her school's theater and dance department, and started managing a local apartment complex's page as well. She realized she loved this new kind of stage: a digital one.
After finishing her undergraduate degree, Micah went back to school for a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications. The program gave her a real toolkit, but her career after graduation took a winding path: she was laid off from a corporate job she'd tied closely to her identity, got rehired at an agency, and then spent four years in another corporate marketing role. Eventually, she realized none of those places offered what she actually wanted next. Worse, she couldn't see the local, direct impact of her work.
In 2021, while still finishing her master's, Micah launched M Creative Society as a side hustle. Through hard work and perseverance, she was able to quit her corporate marketing job in 2025 and make her dream of being her own boss a reality.
But in doing that, she discovered a new dream: helping other small business owners, content creators, and entrepreneurs build marketing strategies that make their own dreams possible.
Now, five years into M Creative Society and almost two running it full time, she enjoys watching that ripple effect play out. As the business scales, M Creative is joined by the part that makes it a Society: Micah's husband, Taylor, handles drone work, and she's built a team of freelance videographers because she quickly learned she couldn't be everywhere at once. So it's truly a society — of helpers, doers, dreamers, clients, and friends, all working together to make dreams come true while sharing the message.
